We are seeking an experienced, proactive and skilled Community Support Workers to join our experienced and highly skilled team in and around Sydney Metropolitan.
The successful applicant will be positive, reliable and resilient and will be experienced in supporting clients with a complex profile. You will be part of a team that is responsible for providing high quality support that builds capacity and encourages clients to increase their skills and independence.
Your Role
Use initiative to enhance someone's quality of life
Provide support that is person centred and enables each client to express choice and control in the types of support and activities offered
Duties could include: medication support, personal care, domestic assistance, manual handling, meal preparation, following support plans, challenging behaviour and complex physical needs.
Be sensitive and understanding to the specific needs of each client paying attention to the cultural needs and preferences of each client
Essential Criteria
Driver's License and Own Reliable Car is a must
Collaborating in a team setting
Understanding the issues faced by people who are ageing and/or have a disability
Demonstrated experience in building rapport and trust with people
At least 6 months experience working with people with complex needs
Ability to work on a rotating roster
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
